Microsoft's detailed a whole new xbox 360 wireless controller system update, which starts rolling out internationally from today. The Dashboard update adds, amongst other things, compatibility with the updated xbox 360 chatpad disc format, which reportedly offers developers 1GB of additional space for his or her games. The computer update also may include an auto-standby feature that places your console on standby if it's idle for upwards of 60 minutes, making an effort to reduce power consumption, and additional integration with PayPal. "Once you've linked your PayPal account to the Xbox Live account on Xbox.com, you can be off and running to work with it as being a billing option, allowing you to buy content including Microsoft Points, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions and Games at will titles," explains official mouthpiece Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb. Microsoft plans to unveil the 360 system update "gradually" to every one Live users starting today "and through the entire next couple weeks", who's says is to "ensure a superior quality deployment". "Just like all other update to service, you will understand you've received it while you first turn on your xbox 360 cable, hook up to Xbox Live and receive a notification to download the update. You need to be aware that it a couple of days to make its way over the world. Interesting patience if you can't are right away!" Microsoft said today that the recent software update - and not today's new firmware - is behind disc read errors being gone through by a small amount of Xbox 360 console owners. It's previously been suggested that Avatar Kinect, the revolutionary face-tracking chat service for Xbox Live, are likewise arriving this month, though Microsoft's yet to verify.
